The DIA is thrilled to present "Exhibiting your Designs," an industry panel featuring leading designers during Melbourne Design Week. This panel will provide attendees with practical tips and advice on how to exhibit their designs effectively, from creating an impactful exhibition concept to selecting the right materials and showcasing their work.
In addition to the panel discussion, we are excited to announce the launch of the new Exhibiting Your Designs Practice Note, a comprehensive guide to the principles and best practices of design exhibition. The practice note is the result of collaboration between leading designers and curators, and it will be an invaluable resource for designers looking to showcase their work effectively.
The panel will be moderated by Claire Beale, a prominent designer, educator and curator and will feature a diverse range of experts from various fields, including exhibition design, curation, and marketing.
The speakers will share their experiences and discuss best practices in exhibiting your designs, covering topics such as audience engagement, spatial design, branding, and communication.
Following the panel discussion, there will be a launch event for the Exhibiting Your Designs Practice Note, where attendees will get an advanced copy of the practice note and a chance to meet the experts behind its creation.
This is an excellent opportunity to network with peers in the industry and gain insights into the latest trends and practices in exhibition design.
No need to register, just turn up, however if you would like a copy of the Practice Note prior, please contact Bernadette Wilson programs@design.org.au
This event is part of Melbourne Design Week 2023, an initiative of the Victorian Government in collaboration with the NGV.
